Cyberjoueurs is the French game design company that created Graal. The general manager of the company is Stephane Portha, better known as Unixmad.

History

Cyberjoueurs was founded in 1996 with the creation of Zelda Online. Soon after they were sued by Nintendo in the Nintendo-Cyberjoueurs Battle of Great Justice, and forced to change the name of Zelda Online to Graal and stop using graphics from Zelda games. Their main source of revenue was advertising money gained by displaying banners on PM windows on the Graal client until early 2001 when Graal2001 was released. Selling Graal Gold Subscriptions then became the main source of income. Eventually advertising was totally abolished and it became necessary to pay even to be able to save your progress on a Classic server. Currently Cyberjoueurs is pursuing an enigmatic project known as Fairyland.
