Cyberjoueurs was founded in 1996 with the creation of [[Zelda Online]]. Soon after they were threatened with a lawsuit by Nintendo in the [[Nintendo-Cyberjoueurs Battle of Great Justice]], and forced to change the name of Zelda Online to Graal and stop using graphics from [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zelda Zelda] games.  Their main source of revenue was advertising money gained by displaying banners on [[PM]] windows on the Graal client until early 2001 when [[Graal2001]] was released. Selling [[Pay to Play|Graal Gold Subscriptions]] then became the main source of income.  Eventually advertising was totally abolished and it became necessary to pay even to be able to save your progress on a [[Classic server]]. Currently Cyberjoueurs is pursuing an enigmatic project known as [[Fairyland]].

The name and content was changed soon after to Graal while the basic concepts were kept, but brought to a new dimension called Online Gaming. Their main source of revenue was advertising money gained by displaying banners on PM windows on the Graal client until early 2001 when Graal Bomy Lands was released. Soon after a new service was introduced allowing players and developers to create their own Playerworld. Besides Graal2D Linux Cyberjoueurs is also pursuing an enigmatic project known as Fairyland, and is working on Graal3D.
